Kevin has been a lifelong competitive athlete. In 2003 he moved away from explosive sports and began his journey into the world of endurance training, competing in his first 5k. Since then, Kevin has competed in running events ranging from 5K to 100+ miles and triathlons ranging from sprint distance to Ironman.
After seeking treatment for his ailments during his first year of endurance training, physical therapists Jeff Fromdahl and Brad Kiesling opened the door to a whole new understanding of injury mechanisms and human function for Kevin. He began noticing trends in overuse injuries with his personal training clients who were also endurance athletes. There are certain patterns with overuse injuries related to muscular dysfunction and movement pattern inefficiencies. These problems are quite typical, and mostly avoidable, with minimal time invested. Kevin has since dedicated his career to helping people identify faulty patterns and create exercise programs to correct them. This process is the starting point for every person Kevin works with.
Kevin continues to seek and create relationships with experts in the medical, performance coaching, and personal development fields. Kevin is a certified personal trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a certified run coach with the Road Runners Club of America, a certified Functional Movement Specialist in the FMS system by Grey Cook and Lee Burton, a Certified Functional Strength Coach, and is a USAT level 1 certified triathlon coach.
Client first, continued learning, and clear communication are the cornerstones of Kevin’s approach.
